The activities of ESN (Eastern Security Network) members in the South-east region have caused a lot of issues within the region. Nnamdi Kanu (The leader of IPOB) who created the group was arrested by the federal government of Nigeria and he is currently facing trails in court.

However, these ESN members have been accused by the police of attacking police stations and other government facilities within the Southeastern States in the country.

Recently, Abubakar Malami (Minister of Justice) disclosed that about 175 security personnel were killed by these ESN members. He said that the attacks that were carried out between October 2020 and June 2021 led to the death of these security officers. Malami further revealed that the 175 security officers comprise of 128 policemen, 37 military personnel and 10 other security operatives.
Abubakar Malami also claimed that the attacks were carried out due to the instigating directives of Nnamdi Kanu.
Nevertheless, I believe that the killing of 175 security officers by ESN members should be a reason for FG to deploy fighter jets against them.

This is because the fighter jets will easily locate and destroy the hideouts of these ESN (Eastern Security Network) members in the Southeast region.
Also, the fighter jets will equally help the Nigerian military to respond quickly to attacks carried out by these ESN members within the Southeast zone. I believe that the presence of the military fighter jets will equally make these ESN members to be afraid of carrying out their attacks.
