The atmosphere at Ebonyi State University (EBSU) is currently tensed following the attack on the school's Administrative Block by some hoodlums. According to reports, the assailants destroyed portraits of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Dave Umahi.
The hoodlums who are suspected to be angry students of the institution also shattered doors, windows and other items at the university’s Administrative Building. However, there was no loss of life in the attack which lasted for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, students of the university have been urged not to panic as more security personnel have been deployed to the troubled spots in the school to ensure the safety of lives and properties within the campus.
Also, the police investigation is ongoing to unmask all the people behind this attack. As of the time of this report, the reason behind the attack is still unknown. Before now, Ebonyi State University has been peaceful and free from such incidents.
We totally condemn the attack on Ebonyi State University Administrative Block by these criminals.
