Gunmen Seize Kogi Monarch, Demand N30m

A traditional ruler in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, the Adogu of Eganyi, Alhaji Mohammed Adembe, was on Tuesday Kidnapped by unknown gunmen on the Okene - Adogi Road.
An incident of Eganyi, who spoke to journalists on phone, said the traditional ruler, who was alone in his car, left Okene town around 4 pm on his way to the Eganyi community but was abducted by kidnappers.
According to him, the kidnappers on Wednesday called the family of the Monarch and demanded a ransom of N30m.

Nigerian rapper, Zoro Drum has urged the Federal Government to release the arrested leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Daily Post had reported that Nnamdi Kanu was arrested by a combined team of Nigerian and Foreign agents.
"There's a lot I'd love to say, first is I would love our leaders to listen to their conscience and that's only if it's well fed. Free Nnamdi Kanu", he wrote.

The Nigerian Army has promised to investigate allegations of murder placed against one of its personnel, who was the lover of Jennifer Ugadu, an undergraduate student of the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa, who was the victim.
