Leader of the Igala People in Lagos , His Royal Highness, Sani Yakubu Ejima, Onu Igala, who also doubles as chairman of all the Kogi Igala traditional rulers in Lagos State has refuted the insinuations in some sections of the media that Mary Daniel has been handed over to the Police as a result of her story that was staged managed and the lie she told that her father was dead.The Onu Igala stated this while speaking with Sahara Reporter on Thursday.
According to him, the Special Adviser to The Executive Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement, Aderemi Adebowale, handed Mary Daniel to a committee and Irede foundation in other for the group to assist her in setting up a bussiness of her choice.
The handing over ceremony was done in the presence of the representative of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
The Onu Igala said the Police were called in to ensure the security of the young lady , and not to effect her arrest or to frighten her.
