It was indeed a tragic sight at Sokoto on Wednesday night, April 14, 2021 as a heavy duty truck (Canter) crushed a young couple and their little son to death.
According to reports on Sokoto Tracker; the accident occurred immediately after the Ramadan night (Tarawih) prayers while the deceased couple and their child were going back home.
An eyewitness revealed that the truck driver lost control of the vehicle’s break and swiftly rammed into the victims on a motorcycle. The truck driver immediately fled the accident scene to avoid being attacked by an angry mob.
However, the victims all died on the spot. Also, their remains had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.
It is so terrible to see a young family wiped out because of the carelessness and recklessness of one driver. We wish the authorities could apprehend the culprit of this dastardly act.
May the souls lost to this accident Rest In Peace, Amen.
