President Muhammad Buhari has named Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa as the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission. But still subject to Senate ratification before his official takeover as the boss of the Anti-graft agency.
Abdulrasheed Bawa 40yrs old is a trained EFCC investigator with vast experience in the investigation and prosecution of Advance Fee Fraud cases, official corruption, bank fraud, laundering & other economic crimes, PMB has sent his name to the Senate for confirmation as EFCC boss.
The EFCC was created by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2003, the Anti-graft agency has six chairpersons first then. All the chairpersons are from the Northern part of the country. Waziri is the only woman who has headed the commission. Bawa is the youngest among the six chairpersons.
