Video: 'I Want To Go Back To Prison, Life Outside Is Hard' Says An Ex Convict-See More

Prison is a confined space where criminals and law breakers are kept to serve terms for crimes committed. From stories and written opinions from people who had visited many prisons, it is not a pleasant place to be. There is nothing like one having their freedom and knowing they can go wherever they want to go without restriction.

BBC News Pidgin recently shared a news about Gambo Mohammed who was opportuned to be among prisoners released in order to reduce the spread of corona virus in prison. This is because of too much congestions in prisons around the country..

Gambo Mohammed was sentenced to death 20 years ago for killing someone during a fight at a wedding he attended. He was found guilty by a court and was sent to prison. But due to good behavior, his sentence was reversed to life imprisonment.

Luckily for him again, he was among those released due to congestions in prisons to curb the spread of Covid-19. One would expect Gambo to be very happy seeing his family again and to embrace life as he had been in prison for 20 years. But the reverse is the case. According to him, life outside prison has been difficult. To eat has been a problem and moving on seems harder for him.

He expressed the desire to go back in instead of facing the hard life out here. According to Gambo, no matter what, in prison, he gets to eat and drink water, but that is not guaranteed in the outside world because of the hardship. Watch the video below:
