In a statement issued in Owerri on Friday, a police spokesman in the state, Mike Abattam, said the IPOB Kingpin was arrested at Ehime-Mbano local government area.
He explained that the police also killed an IPOB member who joined other members to frustrate the kingpin’s arrest.
However, here are two things Igbos should expect after police arrested Uchenna Chukwu (IPOB Kingpin) in Imo State:
1. Arrest Of More IPOB Members
Igbos should expect that the arrest of Uchenna Chukwu In Imo will lead to the arrest of more IPOB members that have been causing problems in the South-East. The police will interrogate Uchenna Chukwu and he might reveal strategies to the Nigerian police on how to arrest his colleagues.
2. Destruction Of More IPOB Hideouts
The arrest of Uchenna Chukwu will also lead to the destruction of more IPOB Hideouts in the South-East because the police will ask him to reveal locations of their hideouts where they gather to plan their unlawful activities. Igbos should expect the Nigerian Police to destroy any building that IPOB uses to plan their activities.
Finally, the Nigerian Police is doing their best to stop the activities of Biafra in the South-East and I urge all Igbos to support them in making sure that IPOB is eliminated in the South-East.
