Nigeria At 61: Nigerians Should Start The Day By Praying & Express How Happy They Are With Nigeria

Nigeria is 61 today after independence, all Nigerians should start the day by praying and expressing how happy and pleased they are as Nigerians. Even though as a country, we have not yet seen what we want, because some youths and elders are only hustling for their benefit, and Nigeria's progress is not in their minds. We need to still to raise our hand, kneel and prostrate to God for Nigeria.

Though our teething problems as a nation seem to be too protracted as a result of the long carelessness and reckless abandonment on the part of both our leadership and the followership alike in confronting the challenges frontally. Nevertheless, we have got to be thankful for the little things that, we have achieved together as a nation. It's not the end, but certainly, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We must not fail in realizing the mission and vision of our founding fathers, else, all of us would be adjudged to have failed woefully.

We must begin to make conscious efforts to apply that right "teething remedy" for the definite end of our teething challenges. We must be able to place national interests over and above our interests. Our youths must bluntly refuse to be used as a tool for the disintegration or destruction of this "enviable construct" that has endured all sorts of turbulence over the 61 years of its existence, and still standing tall and occupying an enviable position even in the eyes of the comity of nations.

We must admit that we have all failed so that we can begin to find the right teething remedy for our malaise of over six decades now. The time to concentrate on finding the soothing balm for our myriads of challenges is now, we must not lose this opportunity, we must make the best use of it.
