Electricity access has always been one of the major problem of many Nigerians as they have little or no supply of electricity within their place of abode.
Due to this epileptic supply of electricity within the country, many companies that cannot afford the running cost without sufficient power has folded up and some relocated to nearby countries like Ghana that has constant supply of electricity.
This was reported by @instablognaija on Twitter where they disclosed that the power access of Nigerians has drop so low that even the war torn country of Congo has overtaken it in terms of electricity access by the citizens.
This has gotten many Nigerians reacting to the news and blaming the government for the epileptic supply of electricity within the country and poor access to electricity especially in the rural areas.
Below are screenshots of reactions from many Nigerians;
It is indeed a shameful thing that Nigeria that supplies electricity to different African countries still struggles with constant power supply. I remembered when Ghana that Nigeria supplies light celebrated one year of constant power supply but in Nigeria, we barely celebrate 4 hours of constant power supply.
