Killing Of 343 And Kidnap Of 830 People In Kaduna: A Need For Gov El-Rufai To Seek FG Assistance

The recent report about the killings in Kaduna state under three months has raised so much tension among Nigerians to the extent that so many people have started reacting towards it.

Recently, The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, on Wednesday, said 343 people were killed, while 830 people were kidnapped between July and September 2021, in the state.

The commissioner made the presentation at the third quarterly security report of the Kaduna State Government at the Kashim Ibrahim Government House, according to Aruwan, within the period under review, 193 deaths were recorded in the Southern Kaduna senatorial district.

However, so many Nigerians are anxious about knowing if Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai will seek federal government assistance towards ending the killings and kidnaps in the state.

Why Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai should seek Government assistance in Kaduna state.

Firstly, Nigerians should know that the state government is working tirelessly in making sure the security challenges facing the state are ended. However, following the recent report of 343 killed and 830 people kidnapped in the state under 3 months, the state government led by Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai should seek federal government assistance. The assistance will make Federal Government deploy enough security operatives that will help to boost security in the state and with that lives and properties will be secured from the grassroots level.

Secondly, Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai should seek federal government assistance in fighting crime in Kaduna state so that residents living in the state will not start living in tension.

Lastly, I urge everyone to help the Federal Government in the fight against insecurity by reporting any suspicious movement to the Nigerian police force.
