The General Superintendent and founder of the deeper Christian Life Ministry, pastor W. F kumuyi turns 80th birthday today, 6th of June, 2021.
He was born on 6 June, 1941 into a Christian home in Orunwa, Ogun state, the western part of Nigeria. He finished his secondary school education in 1961 at Mayflower school in Ikenne, Ogun state and proceeded to the university of Ibadan where he graduated with a first class degree honour in mathematics (1967). He was the overall best graduating student in that year. Subsequently, he further and took a post graduate course in education at the university of Lagos. In April 1964, he became born again Christian.
Back then, in September 1972, kumuyi met Abiodun Olowu who became one of his Bible study students and a member of his fledging Christian ministry. On the 13 of September, 1980 in Lagos, they got married and have two children, Jeremiah and John. Fortunately, on 11 of April 2009, Abiodun Kumuyi died during the annual Easter retreat after she had a little sickness.
Just exactly 18 months after the death of his first wife, Kumuyi married Folashade Adenike Blaise in London on 13 October 2010. She was the Administrator of the Deeper Life Bible Church, London.
While serving as a Mathematics lecturer at the university of Lagos in 1973, W.F Kumuyi started a Bible study group with 15 university students who had come to meet him for training on the scripture.
Pastor W.F Kumuyi is a man of God who teaches deeply the word of God and many life has been blessed through him.
