This life is full of unexpected events; whether this is due to the state of the economy or not, no one can say. In view of this, the Kano State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the alleged theft of goats in the state's Sani Mainagge quarters.
DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command's spokesperson, said in a statement on May 25 that the teenage suspects specialize in livestock theft and hijacking.
On the 08/05/2021 at around 1600hrs, a good Samaritan reported that some young men were seen in a Tricycle with some goats suspected of being stolen. "Upon receiving the report, the team of Operation Puff Adder rushed to the scene, and upon seeing the Police, the suspects took to their heels," he said.
Furthermore, "Four (4) suspects, one Aminu Musa, age 18 years old, Sani Abdullahi, age 18 years old, Huzaifa Jafar, age 18 years old, and Rabiu Lukman, age 17 years old, all ‘m' of Sani Mainagge quarters, Kano State, were arrested."
However, "a tricycle and two (2) goats, one (1) of which had already been slaughtered by the suspects" were discovered in their possession. As the investigation continues, efforts are being made to apprehend other fleeing suspects. Following the completion of the investigation, the suspects will be charged in court.
Youths should try to work hard and believe in themselves. There are different opportunities in the country instead of stealing
