The governor was accompanied by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and other top officials.
The community was attacked by suspected herdsmen on Sunday morning, leaving ten people dead and several injured. Several houses, including the monarch's palace, were set ablaze during the attack.
During a visit to the community on Tuesday, Governor Makinde promised the people that the attack would never repeat itself. He urged people not to take laws into their hands. The governor also asked for the public's help in addressing the state's security challenges.
He also visited family members who lost loved ones in the senseless attacks, and promised to provide them with support in this time of grief.
