We could remember when a female northerner revealed an attack on travellers along the Maiduguri Damaturu road by the Boko haram insurgents that happened last week Friday which led to the abduction of over 35 passengers.

Today a northern who lives in Maiduguri lamented about the daily activities of Boko Haram in the same road, he said
" Boko Haram now operate along Maiduguri to Damaturu almost on a daily basis, and the authority is doing nothing about it, for 3 days in a row now they have been kidnapping, shooting and killing travelers and drivers,.. very sad... And basically now Maiduguri is under siege of BH.."

The Governor Of Borno State has visited where the incident happened, he also assured residents along the road that he is going to hold a security meeting and hopefully come up with more measures to secure the highway. The governor urged citizens to continually support the military by sharing information that would generate credible intelligence on the activities of insurgents.
