Why "Exercise Golden Dawn" Will Be A Strong Strategy Against The Activities Of Unknown Gunmen In SE

The activities of Unknown Gunmen in some states within the southeast region has caused a lot of tension and issues within the region.

These Unknown Gunmen have attacked police stations, INEC offices and security officers in the southeast region.

They recently killed Chike Akunyili (The husband of late former NAFDAC Director General, Dora Akunyili) in Anambra state and destroyed the house of Joe Igbokwe (An APC politician in Lagos State) in Nnewi.

Also, these Unknown Gunmen have destroyed many properties in the South-east region and they have made a lot of residents to be scared.

However, many people have asked the federal government and Nigerian military to curtail the activities of these unknown gunmen within the Southeast region.

So, due to the rising security challenges within the South-East region, the Nigerian military flagged-off a program known as "Exercise Golden Dawn".

This new military program was flagged-off by the Chief of Army Staff (Lt Gen Farouk Yahaya) when he visited the "82 Division of the Nigerian Army" in Enugu State.

Also, Yahaya disclosed that similar exercises have commenced in other zones of the country and he noted that these programs were created in order to combat security challenges in various regions.

Nevertheless, I believe that this "Exercise Golden Dawn" will be a strong strategy against the activities of Unknown Gunmen in the Southeast region. This is because there will be enough military officers within the South-east region and this will make the unknown gunmen to be scared of carrying out their attacks.

Also, this new military program (Exercise Golden Dawn) will help the military officers to discover the hideouts of these unknown gunmen within the Southeast region.

The new military operation will equally help the military officers to develop new strategies and techniques of fighting against these unknown gunmen in the Southeastern part of Nigeria.
