The police officer who shot and killed a Keke rider during the early hours of today have been disarmed and arrested by the Rivers State Police command.
According to report, the police officer shot the tricycle rider as a result of not giving him #100 bribe.
The Rivers State police command announced the detention of the officer who killed the tricycle man and a school boy. Mr Nnamdi Omoni who happened to be the Police Public Relation Officer of the Command said he is aware of the incident at Rukpokwu, he added that the have mobilized their men to Rukpokwu to restore calm and contain a further breakdown of law and order.
He further plead with the residents of Rukpokwu to maintain calm while they bring the officer to justice.
