Gunmen kill two and abduct two in Rano Local Government Area, Kano.
According to a radio station "Freedom", In Kano State Gunmen stormed several villages in Rano and Garin Malam Local Government Areas on Thursday night. The affected towns include Dumawa town, Babba town and Gadar Jakai village in Garin Malam Local Government Area.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Kano State Vigilant Patrol, Muhammad Kabiru Alhaji, made this known on Friday evening. The two victims include a man named "Dan Bunkure" and a man named "Dan Kadawa". The commander added that the bandits who were raiding some villages in Kano came from Zamfara, Katsina and Kaduna states, where they set up camp in Rano Local Government Area. He said they followed the militants after receiving reports of an attack on Rurum town in Rano Local Government Area.
However, on Thursday night, the militants re-emerged in Mudawa town of Garin Malam Local Government Area, where they were chased away by Vigilant officers. They then re-emerged in the village of "Babba Babba", where they again clashed with the gunmen who later fled away.
