Girlfriend set his lover ablaze in Benue state over alleged cheating.
According to indecent reports confirmed by the Benue state police public relation officer, Catherine anene. Confirmed the sad incident which happened in the state concerning a young girl of 18years that set her Igbo boyfriend ablaze. The suspect has already been arrested and currently in police custody. Investigation is still in progress to unravel the ugly situation.
Reports reaching the media has it that, an 18 year old girl, from Ado local government area of Benue state, in early hours of Monday, being 11th January of 2021 burnt her boyfriend Elvis chidi omah from Nsuka Enugu state to death. This incident happened in Benue state. Chidi, who has been a patient medicine dealer as an occupation just returned from festive holidays. He has been in his village since as a result of this festive period.
The whole incident started when Esther received information from her friends that the her boyfriend chidi traveled to his village to pay for another girls bride price he intended to marry. Although, Esther later confronted him concerning it and he denied it, besides the answers he provided wasn't satisfactory to her. The young man didn't know what was on her mind cos she looked settled. Unknown to him that she has plans to burned him alive in his sleep.
During the midnight, she got up and set the young man ablaze by pouring fuel on him and then lit it. She quickly ran off after doing it. It was the neighbors that came out after feeling heats of fire and noises. The whole neighborhood came out, shouting and pouring water into the room in an attempt to extinguish the fire. It was after the inferno has subsidize that chidi managed to come out. He was already burnt beyond recognition. He was quickly rushed to federal medical center, but was confirmed dead the following day.
