7 Years Ago, One Used To Travel To Minna, Kaduna And Lokoja As Late As 2 am, Now Look At Us - Gimba

For few months back ago, the level of insecurity especially kidnapping as been on a very high side in the northerner part of Nigeria.

Today, a man shared his worries about the insecurity happening the country, he said

In this same country, just about seven years ago, one used to embark on road trips to Minna, Kaduna and Lokoja as late as 2 am. I used to make those trips alone, blasting my music and appreciating the empty roads. Now, look at us, solving probability equation over a daytime trip.

Some other Nigerians also shared memories of when they were travelling on road without the fear of kidnapping.

Even 2015.

I drove from Kano to Calabar. Stopped in Zaria for hrs... Did the same in Kaduna, Abuja, Gboko, Ogoja and Ikom before I got to Calabar. My last major road trip. Can't try that now.

Exactly same period (7 years ago), I used to drive from about 4pm from Abuja to Zaria every Friday (after work) to attend lectures on Saturday at ABU. I'd then do the return from like 6pm on Saturday after the lectures. Impossible to attempt now.

@umarfarouq

About 7 years ago in borno yobe and some part of bauchi we cannot even go to the market in peace because of the bombings then but now we can go to the market without fear of bomb blast
