Now, you’ve heard of cars, bikes, and even parts being stolen by thieves to make a quick buck, but how about bridge metals?
The Anti-vandal patrol team of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), said it had arrested a suspected vandal, (name withheld) at Ogba Egbema Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The disclosure was made late on Monday evening via the security agency's official Facebook page. According to the source the suspect was arrested with a truck conveying 17 pieces of suspected stolen vandalized bridge construction metals.

"Anti-vandal patrol team of the Corps arrested one suspect and a truck with Reg no: NSR 462 ZD, conveying 17 pieces of suspected vandalized bridge construction metals at Ahoada.
The Materials are suspected to be stolen from Idu Bridge 1, construction site, at Ogba Egbema Andoni Local Government Area."
However, the most appalling thing to me is the time taken to pull down the bridge without anyone noticing and the huge truck this man used to carry the stolen vandalized metal. Only God knows how much he paid to hire the truck. See photos below;
In my own view, this man didn't do it alone. It's most likely, metalworkers helped pulled the structure down, and there they slowly took it apart into scrap pieces before loading into the truck. Proper investigation needs to be done so as to apprehend his accomplices.
