The police command in Niger state has arrested a man whose name is Abubakar Maibabo for allegedly killing his own children. This incident happened at a village known as Maidabo village in salka Nasko local government area in Niger. This incident was disclosed by the Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun in a statement on Friday in Minna.
According to Wasiu Abiodun, he said that on the 14 of November which is this month at about 2.00 am, the police operatives attached to Nasko division, arrested the suspect.
According to him, "the suspect killed his own children with a Cutlass, on Mr Umar Abubakar, 8, and Shehu Abubakar, 4, while he hid the corpses in a separate sacks in the bush".
Mr Wasiu Abiodun further said that "During an interrogation with the suspect, the suspect confessed to the crime and claimed that the incident was an act of God".
Wasiu Abiodun noted clearly that the corpses to general hospital in Nasko for autopsy while the case was still under investigation.
