On Sunday night, April 18, it was reported that suspected cultists invaded the Ifite axis of Awka South Local Government Area in Anambra state, and killed a masters degree holder.
The victim was reportedly attacked by the suspected cultist that fateful Sunday night, and shot him multiple times before escaping through a narrow path, leaving the young man to wallow in the pool of his blood.
The young man identified as Anthony Onwudinjo, is a fitness instructor, who held a masters degree until his death. He was reportedly shot in the presence of his mother that night.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that on that same night, another young man was killed that same day. The victim simply known ad Nnamdi, was shot at UNIZIK junction, also known as tempsite.
The issue of cultism in Anambra state is very alarming. This is not the first time young men are being wasted as a result of cultism. On Monday, April 12, it was gathered that suspected cultists invaded the compound of a young man at Ukwuoji axis of Awka, and shot him dead at about 8:45 am.
