This statement was released in the early hours of today through the National Media Press.
Some days ago, the Attorney General went as far as calling out the names of the influential Nigerians he would arrest for using Twitter.
Malami's change of stance came as a huge surprise to Nigerians across the country. Why did Malami decide to change his decision?
That's a question no one could answer at the moment.
However, Nigerian Activist, Reno Omokri believes Pastor Adeboye, Kumuyi, and Oyedepo forced Malami to rescind his arrest order.
Reno Omokri said: "Let’s commend the courage of Pastors Adeboye, Kumuyi and Oyedepo, who continued tweeting in spite of the childish #TwitterBanNigeria".
By calling Buhari bluff, they forced Malami to blink and admit that he can’t arrest citizens for Tweeting".
