Sunday Igboho has been in the news in the past weeks after he issued a seven-day eviction ultimatum to Fulani herders in Igangan, Ibarapa north local government area of Oyo state. His statement reportedly incited some of his supporters to destroy houses and cars, including those of Saliu Kadri, the Seriki Fulani of Igangan.

Three weeks ago, Garba Shehu using the platform of the Presidency, announced that the Inspector General of Police had ordered the arrest of Sunday Igboho. Igboho laughed it off. He said he was waiting for anyone to dare arrest him. In the end, nobody did. In fact, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police who should have carried out the directive, ended up having a meeting with Sunday Igboho! He proved untouchable. This merely deepened his myth.
A Fulani man by the name Dr. Abubakar Hidima took to his Twitter handle to lament why Sunday Igboho is still walking freely, despite the presidency decision to arrest him.

There is an arrest warrant on Sunday Igboho, yet he is walking freely. This statement from you is worthless.
We want justice to be served. Those found with hands in killing others should be killed too. Those whose properties have been burnt must be compensated.
