Why Would SA To Governor, Police Officer, Chinese National Participate In Railway Vandalism?

What would people benefit from the destruction of critical infrastructure in Nigeria? We always complain that the government has not done enough to develop Nigeria, but the little they do are being sabotaged by the citizens who are supposed to protect these infrastructures. The recent infrastructure that is being vandalized by people is the railway tracks and slippers.

The railway sector that the government is borrowing billions of Naira to rejuvenate into world-class is being destroyed by elements who are enemies of the country. The vandalization of rail lines ought to be treated as attempted murder in addition to vandalism, stealing, etc. This is sad. How united the criminals are irrespective of religion, ethnicity, or even nationality. But the only people killing themselves over these divides are the victims of the criminalities. Only God knows the lives of people that will be lost through the vandalism of these railway tracks.

When it is said that nemesis will catch up with all criminals one day, this proverb has come to pass in Nassarawa State, as the hands of the law have caught up with rail track vandals in the State. The police arrested scores of vandals which include a Special Adviser (SA) to Governor Abdullahi Sue of Nasarawa State on Infrastructure, a Police Officer, A Civil Defense Office, and a Chinese National. Watch the video here.

According to the police who paraded the suspects in the police headquarter in Nassarawa, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa on Infrastructure, Yusuf Abubakar, Samuel Asoloko, personnel of the Nigerian Legion, Richard Joseph, a police officer, Ibrahim Amagawa Usman, personnel of the Civil Defense Corp and other. They were arrested while vandalizing the railway tracks/slippers that run through Nasarawa to Benue gold mines.

However, many Nigerians have asked the question that what could have pushed a whole SA to the Governor, a police officer, and Chinese national to become vandals, the answer is greed, and the zeal to continue to be criminals. The salaries these people earn are enough for them to take care of their families but they resulted in vandalism to get quick cash.
