Right from within the hallowed holy city called Canaan Land, headquarters of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, a 41-year old lecturer has recently desecrated his office, which he used as a 'slaughter slab' for his victim, a 17-year old student of the institution(name withheld).
The randy lecturer, Dr Stephen Ukenna, who was caught in the act last Thursday 11th March, 2021, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command.
The lecturer who is still cooling his feet in detention cell in Sango-Ota Police Division, teaches in the Department of Business Management, Covenant University.
The arrest of the suspect followed a complaint lodged at Ota Police Area Command by the parents of the victim who reported that their daughter called them on phone from the school in connection with the despicable act of the lecturer.
Going by the account of the parents, the lady had been invited by the lecturer to his office on the said date under the pretence that he wanted to plan a surprise birthday party for a close friend of hers.
But, on getting to the lecture’s office, he reportedly locked the office door and forcefully had his way with her on top of the table in his office.
Upon the report, the Area Commander, ACP Muyideen Obe, swiftly deployed his team of detectives to the school where the randy lecturer was promptly arrested.
On interrogation, the suspect allegedly admitted the act, but was unable to give any reason for his action.
Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the story.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
