A while ago, we got news that a certain Nigerian man by the name Babatope Aderinoye Joseph has been sentenced to 34 years in prison in the United States of America for crimes that include fraud and money laundering. This news comes at a time when internet fraud is most prevalent in the country. The 30 year old according to the FBI defrauded many people which includes citizens, a school and even non profit organizations that whose priority is to help other people who are Ill.
According to Linda Ikeji, court documents shows that Aderinoye had used the information of other people to establish fake Identities which he used to defraud other people. He has finally been caught and he will pay for his crimes by spending the next 34 years in prison.
Prior to his arrest and conviction, the young man spent the money he got from his fraudulent activities on living a luxury life, travelling to beautiful places, enjoying his life and even posting those photos on social media.
