In a bid to retain the Police Station located in their Community, the members of Ovungwu, Ovuokwu Omoba( OV OV OM) Unity Forum have opted to rebuild the facility that was burnt down in 2020 by unknown gunmen. The elite forum led by Engr. Smart Obinna Ogbonna sent a high profile delegate who met with the Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA Abia State Chief Ike Anyayonwu on 1st October, 2021. The delegate discussed how to get the Police Division back to their origiy location.The Police Division Headquarters in Omoba is located along Umuokoroukwu Road in Omoba, the headquarters town of Isiala Ngwa South LGA of Abia State.
It will be recalled that the Divisional Police Headquarters Omoba, Isiala Ngwa South was burnt down by unknown Gunmen in 2020. Since then the Division has operated from the neighbouring Isiala Ngwa North LGA Divisional Headquarters in Okpuala Ngwa. It is hoped that the rebuilding of the police station will help beef up security in the LGA and foster the needed devopmentbin Ovungwu, Ovuokwu and Omoba which is the primary objective of OV OV OM Unity Forum.
