During the ongoing probe of a former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Babatunde Fowler by the Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Babajide Fashola's name was mentioned this crime. his questioning was related the corrupt practices tied to his questionable dishonest assets' declaration.

EFCC To Demand Assets Declaration From Banks

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) New Chairman Abdulrasheed Bawa, today announced that banks across the country will have to declare their assets and bankers are expected to present the forms from July 1.

The chairman assured that the EFCC will make sure bankers comply with the Bank Employees, Etc. (Declaration of Assets) Act.

This development is as a result of rising concern on the role of bankers in the fight against fraud in the country.

Police Rescues Day Old Abandoned Child

The Lagos State Police Command has rescued an abandoned day old baby boy at Oko Oba area of Lagos at about 10pm on the 15th of March. The baby was found by a resident of the area and he immediately informed the police so as to rescue the baby.
