Good news for Nigeria as Edo state police rescue 13 people

Policemen, hunters and vigilante members in Edo State yesterday rescued 13 people from kidnappers in Ahor axis of Aduwawa Bypass, along the Benin-Auchi Expressway in Uhunmwonde local government area of Edo State.

The security team which include the Police force, and officers from the Edo state police command and members of Edo state vigilante Network

The 13 persons rescued included two separate sets of people that were kidnapped on Thursday , with one set travelling from Lagos to Akwa Ibom State, and the other comprising persons travelling from Lagos to Onitsha, Anambra State.

While addressing the public and the journalist The Edo state Commissioner of Police in person of Phillip Ogdagu, he mentioned that they deployed drones and were assisted by hunters and and the Edo state vigilante Network.

He said while addressing the journalist that "We used information provided to track the kidnappers. We took courage to enter the forest. This is how we would proceed with the operations going forward.”

He also said and assure the citizens of Edo state that the command will not relent their efforts to get rid of kidnappers from the state
