The ugly activities of some Fulani Herdsmen in the Southeastern Nigeria is alarming. Not long ago, some innocent indegenes were killed in Ebonyi State by killer herdsmen. Today Sahara Reporters shared the video of an Enugu man who was attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
According to the tweet of Sahara Reporters on its official and verified Twitter handle, the man said that they have not being able to access their farms for over a year due to the attacks by herdsmen. From the video shared by Sahara Reporters, the man said that they were two on a motorcycle when the herdsmen attacked them. He said that the herdsmen blocked the road with their cattle preventing people from passing at night. Luckily after they were attacked, some vigilante men who saw them came to help them with wounds all over their body. The vigilante personnel who spoke in the video while reporting what the victims told them said that the herdsmen hit them with stones and knife at about 8:PM in Onoli, Enugu State. The vigilante personal said that they rushed to the scene upon receiving the information of the attack but by then the herdsmen have left. He added that attempts made to reach the Onoli Divisional Police Officer failed.
This is not the first time Fulani Herdsmen will attack innocent people in their communities in the Southeast. No wonder most of the communities in Enugu and Ebonyi are no longer relying totally on government but setting up their own neighbourhood watch to repel the attacks of herdsmen in their communities. Some Nigerians who reacted to it had the following to say on Twitter.
