A family has narrated their sad encounter with armed robbers at their residence in an interview with Punch Ng. One of the victims named Abdulrazaq Idris narrated that the incident occurred around 3 am when some groups of armed men attacked him at his family house where he was sleeping. The victim narrated that when he was sleeping, he heard a loud shout at the entrance of his room and he started praying to God for help. He explained that he stood up out of emergency to look what was happening but on getting close to the door, one of the armed men attacked him but he was able to push him back.
The victim's father, Gbadamosi Idris narrated that at about 3 am on the day of the incident, he rushed outside when he heard a noise. He stated that when he reached his son's room, he saw that people were pushing the door with him. Gbadamosi narrated that when the armed men gained entrance into the room, they started hitting his son as if they wanted to kill him. He explained that the armed robbers also robbed a lady staying near their house. The victim's father stated that the men who attacked their apartment were about 12 in number. The mother of the victim narrated in tears how the armed men almost killed her son.
Hear her, "I saw somebody standing with a hood in front of the door. I was trying to see who it was but I suddenly saw a Cutlass with him. I couldn't shout because my voice seized. My older son told me to look for our lastborn and hide him. When the armed men entered my room, I heard them speak Hausa, saying they should do it quickly and leave the place. When the armed men left our place, I ran into my son's room but the moment I saw him, I knew something was wrong.
I wanted to enter the ground that day, I kept shouting. When we took him to the first hospital, they said they can't do anything about it and when we took him to another hospital in Kubwa, they admitted him. Ever since the armed robbers struck his eye, he started stammering."
