Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and his entourage on Tuesday visited Igangan town, in Ibarapa North LGA of the state, to examine the situation in the aftermath of a deadly herdsmen attack which left scores of people dead, houses and vehicles razed.
Governor Makinde, while addressing the mammoth crowd who came out to hear him—condemned the herdsman attack and condoled with the community for the lives lost. They promised to end the incessant attacks on the residents of Igangan and Ibarapa at large.
The Governor also assured the people that some security measures have been put in place to ensure peace and normalcy return to Igangan community.
As a great leader, Governor Seyi Makinde took the responsibility and asked the residents to blame him for failing to protect them.
This is a sign of a great leader! Seyi Makinde further toured all affected areas to assess the level of damages done by the assailants.
