FFK, as he is fondly called by his supporters took to his Instagram page to share pictures of his 61st birthday celebration at his home in Abuja. According to him, the memorable occasion was a quiet affair as he celebrated in the company of his girlfriend, sons, family members, and close associates.
The former PDP stalwart, who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress said he was surrounded by genuine love and support of his household and those that he interacts with on a daily basis.
Describing the birthday celebration as an 'in-house party', Fani-Kayode gave thanks to God for sparing him and adding another year to his life.
" After our customary early morning prayers, my children, loved ones, staff and members of my household spent the day together last Saturday to celebrate my 61st birthday.
We kept it quiet and in-house and it was by far the best birthday celebration I have had in many years.
Surrounded by genuine love and the support of those that live and stay with me and that I interact with on a daily basis, what more could a man want?
I give thanks to God for that day and for all those both near and far, that prayed for me and rallied around me to make such a memorable celebration.
May Gid bless you all. From strength to strength we shall go! Blessings!", he wrote.
Recall that the former Aviation Minister received severe criticism after news of his defection to the All Progressives Congress broke into the media. Until his defection, FFK had often subjected the Muhammadu Buhari-led Nigerian government to harsh criticisms.
