It was learnt that the cause of the death of the victim James Okunmakpeye, was because he was shot in the head and he died due to excessive bleeding.
The victim, James Okunmakpeye, was standing by the door of the lecture hall before the culprit fired at him. This caused fear and confusion in the lecture hall as everybody both the lecturer and the students all ran away, leaving the victim bleeding in a pool of his blood.
The Public Relations Officer, NDU, Mr Ingezi Idoni, he confirmed the incident which happened on wednesday.
From the incident, it was learnt that the victim came late to class and was told by the lecturer to stand by the door and explain the reasons for his lateness, while the victim was explaining, the culprit opened fire at him and ran away. He was caught while trying to jump the school fence and was arrested.
