The passengers inside a Toyota Corolla escaped death but sustained various degrees of injuries on Friday morning in Lagos State when a Mitsubishi bus rammed into the car, destroying it in the process.
The accident occurred around 10:08 a.m. on Eko Bridge inward Ijora Olopa intersection when the Mitsubishi bus, apparently not slowing down at the intersection, rammed into the Toyota Corolla, causing the vehicle to be badly damaged.

It was gathered that as a result of the impact of the accident, the passengers inside the car sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
According to the report, the accident caused some bottleneck on the bridge but policemen and LASTMA officials were said to be at the scene controlling the traffic situation while efforts were being made to move the vehicles off the bridge.
