After about three years of litigation, a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt had sentenced Sodeinye Mbatumukeke to death for murdering a Jumia delivery agent.
The court however acquited the second defendant, Divine Naabe for failure of the prosecution team to provide sufficient evidence to indict him.
The Court ruled that Mbatumukeke would be killed by a Firing Squad.
Also Sodeinye Mbatumukeke pleaded not guilty for all the allegations leveled against him.
According to previous reports, they attacked a Jumia delivery agent, who was to deliver two iPhones to their clients, before he was attacked by Sodeinye, and his friends. It was also reported that Sodeinye, and his friends beat the Jumia guy to pulp, trying to snatch the iPhones, and they later succeeded, after the jumia guy has given up the ghost.
This is to tell everyone that crime doesn't pay. We just get busy with a legit work, and God will surely bless the works of our hands. Now, Sodeinye will be killed because there is no enough evidence to prove him innocent.
