Kidnapping has become a serious menace because everywhere within the country looks like an unsafe zone. Let's be prayerful and hopeful that the authorities devise means to tackle this menace once and for all.
Obviously, some Nigerians have sad tales to tell about their experiences in the hands of these deadly kidnappers, while others couldn't survive the ordeal to tell this sad tale.
It's in the same vein that a young known with the Twitter handle @TenovaTenChido explained how his Dad, Mum, uncle, cousin and himself were abducted by gunmen at around 5 p.m. while returning from a wedding ceremony at Okigwe area in Imo State.
However, the kidnappers did the unthinkable as they immediately freed both the mum and the young man asking them to home and raise the sum of thirty million naira (30 m) today to secure the freedom of the remaining family members in the captivity of the gunmen.
Therefore, he asked for assistance from anyone on Twitter, who could help with either police or the armed forces to secure the release of his family from the dungeon of these gunmen.
Nevertheless, in his tweet, he didn't reveal the identity of those gunmen that abducted them; if they're the usual unknown gunmen or Fulani herdsmen. As it is, the abductors' identity are less important at this stage, what's important is how to secure the release of this young man's family unharmed from the abductors' snare.
What are your opinions about insecurity in the country presently?
