The Nation confirmed that the viral claims made by the amputee hawker, Mary Daniels that she lost her legs in an accident that killed her parents were false and many Nigerians were shocked by this revelation. If you could recall that Nigerians donated about N25m to this amputee after she was spotted selling water at Oshodi, she was interviewed and she revealed that she is an orphan with a baby to fend for. After it was revealed that her claims were false and her father is still alive, Daddy Freeze advised the Lagos State Government to give Daniel half of the N25m that was donated to her, while the rest should be given to reputable charity organizations or other amputees who needs help.
In the video that Daddy Freeze posted, he made it clear that the money was donated by Nigerians and it suppose not to be withheld as it was alleged by The Nation Newspaper. In his words;
"What I believe should be done is that she should be given half of the money as punishment and the remaining half should go to credible charities. N25m in two places is N12.5m and another N12.5m, she should get the first N12.5m and the second N12.5m should go to 12 reputable charities, there are amputees there who need help. The advantage of that is the public would be upset if you don't give her anything at all, it's our money and not your money but if you don't do anything at all regarding her donations, the public would be happy but the next person with a problem might not get any help."
