The renowned Islamic Scholar, Shaikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has called on the federal government to end the insecurity in the country, saying nobody is safe anymore.

The octogenarian cleric said it’s the government’s responsibilities to protect its citizens from bandits and other criminal elements terrorizing the people.

Shaikh Dahiru Bauchi made the comment when he received a Christian delegation led by a former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, and Pastor Yohana Buru of Peace Revival and Reconciliation of Nigeria at his Kaduna residence on Tuesday.

Renowned gospel preacher, Pastor Paul Enenche, has decried the wave of killings and general insecurity in the land, saying that Security chiefs now supervising mass killings, insecurity in the country.

Worried by the spate of violent attacks in different parts of the country during a prayer session in his church, Enenche accused the leadership of the country of complacency in the face of the worsening insecurity.

The cleric in a viral video on Facebook monitored by in Abia cautioned those in authority to stop the flow of blood in the land or brace up for God’s wrath.

Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained the motive behind the creation of rogue centres nationwide.

While monitoring the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) registration in Lagos on Wednesday, May 28, 2021, Oloyede said the centres were established to apprehend and disqualify cheating candidates.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the current security challenges in the country are difficult for the police to handle due to the enormous size of the country.

He, however, said there is a need for the re-arrangement of the security structure of the country which is ongoing for the security agencies to curtail insecurity bedevilling Nigeria.

Osinbajo made the declaration on Tuesday when he received the traditional ruler of Yakanaje Uke in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Ahmed Abdullahi Hassan, on a courtesy visit at the presidential villa, Abuja.
