"Burutai had survived three ambush attempts made by Boko Haram" says Major Banjo

The former chief of the Army Staff, (retd.) Lt. General Turkur Burutai could have been kidnapped several times in the hands of Boko Haram during his regime.

This was disclosed by Major Daniel Banjo during an interfaith prayers held by the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude. He emphasised that Boko Haram ambushed Burutai for three times during his battle with the insurgency.

Nigerians were very disappointed for the inability to make any move forward towards ending Boko Haram insurgency in the country, Adding that Burutai efforts with the army wasn't good enough.

Major Daniel narrated how his chief couldn't sleep for a number of days and how he jumped inside the bush with his men in order to escape from their ambush.

Despite all this the people of Oba Oyelude commend Burutai for his effort contributed towards the completion of the bridge leading to Ede. Currently, the President confirmed the appointment of all former service chiefs as ambassadors.
