Three Women Sustained Death-Threatening Injuries From Suspected Herdsmen Attack In Ekiti State

According to Daily Post, Three women in Irele-Ekiti, Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, on Tuesday, sustained death threatening injuries in what is suspected to be an attack by herdsmen, after they refused to hand a demanded amount of money to the armed men.

According to a source who spoke to Daily Post, the attack on the farm settlers occurred at the early hours of the morning. He said that the suspected herders were six in numbers and stormed the farm wielding weapons.

The source stated that the brutality stemmed from the demand of a certain amount of money, which the women were unable to meet up with. As at the time of the attack, the women pleaded that they had just N200 in their possession, this then infuriated the armed men.
