The governor David Umahi Nweze has held an emergency security council meeting in the new Government house at centenary city Abakiliki Ebonyi State. After the security meeting the governor Umahi has a press briefing with the newsmen.
While briefing the newsmen the governor Umahi said that all the native doctors practicing in Ebonyi State must get registered with the government. The governor Umahi directed the Commissioners of Health and Internal security, border and conflict resolution to spearhead the registration of the native doctors. The governor Umahi said that the exercise must carried in a week's time.
It is not clear what the intention of the governor Umahi is in giving such directive. But it could be inferred from the ministries of health and security are involved, therefore the exercise could be to checkmate the rising killings in the state. The governor Umahi also frowned at the killings going on in his State. He appealed to the people to avoid killing of their fellow human being and destruction of property. He went to impose curfew in the border areas of the state from 8pm to 6am daily.
According to the national panel news the Gov Umahi orders clampdown on the criminal activities in the state.
