The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has called off its planned protest against the director of the Department of State Security (DSS) in the Kano State, Alhassan Muhammad, over alleged arrests of its members in an effort to subvert the party’s chances to the advantage of APC.
Speaking to newsmen, a senatorial candidate of the party, Dr Baffa Bichi, said the party’s earlier decision to stage a protest was not because the DSS director had overstayed his time, whom, as he explained, was due to retire 15 months ago, but because he was kept in Kano at the behest of Governor Ganduje.
Bichi alleged that Governor Ganduje used the DSS director in 2019 to “steal elections” and subverts the will of the people.

President Buhari spoke at State House, Abuja as he received the Governing Council and members of the Institute of Directors led by its President and Chairman, Dr Mrs Ije Jidenma.
I was particularly interested to learn that you not only cater to large corporates but are aware that for any economy to grow and create jobs, we need an equally vibrant and successful small and medium enterprise sector.
“This administration has, despite the difficult times brought upon us by a variety of external shocks, done much to ensure the survival and development of SMEs.
