Dagrin, formally known as Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, died at the Lagos University teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, Lagos State on the 30th of April, 2010. The late rapper had a terrible accident just at the front of the Alakara police station, where his car hit a stationary truck from behind, damaging the entire front of the rapper's car and causing him serious injuries to his head and face, that would take his life 8 days later.
Dagrin was just starting to gather fame for himself when death snatched him away. There was nothing anyone could do to save him from the hands of death, because it was totally out of everyone's control. But, there were/are still some things in our control, like giving the late rapper a wonderful decorated burial floor and an immortalisation that would be forever. I am going to explain these two things above.
Let me start by saying I had the chance to see where Dagrin was buried. After his death, he was buried at the Ebony millennium private vault, Atan cemetery. I was expecting an elaborated gravesite for this rapper, although this may seem like vanity too many people, it is still the best way to immortalize the rapper.

The only things elaborated about the rapper's death were the exaggerated talks from different artistes who presented themselves to be his friends at his candle light night. Also was the massive turnout of his fans on his burial day. These people almost tore down the cemetery gate after they were prevented from coming inside. These were the only things elaborated about him, finish!
Dagrin's father told his son's friends to always remember his late son on every April 22nd, but none of them remembers anymore. I became really down also, after I saw his damaged car abandoned at the Lagos State University (LASU), Lagos State. This rapper was once the talk of town before his death. Recently, I started believing that when you are dead, gradually people will start forgetting everything about you.

For all I know now, Dagrin never existed in anyone's heart, they all faked it because he had something to offer. This guy deserves better than what they have given him. I am not surprised anyway this is Nigeria.
