The Niger State Police Order has captured a 37-year-elderly person for slaughtering his two kids with a cutlass in the Magama Neighborhood Government Region of the state.
The suspect, Abubakar Maidabo of Maidobo town in Magama, was captured by the police agents appended to the Magama Division on November 14, 2020 while attempting to get away.
It was found out that the suspect, subsequent to slaughtering his children, one Umar Abubakar (eight) and Shehu Abubakar (four), shrouded their carcasses in sacks in the bramble.
City Round assembled that the bodies were recuperated by the police and taken to the Overall Clinic, Nasko for examination.
The suspect told our reporter that he was unable to disclose what pushed him to carry out the wrongdoing.
"Truly, I don't have the foggiest idea what has come over me to slaughter my own kids that God provided for me. I think something isn't right some place," he said.
Found out if he needed to utilize them (kids) for ceremonial purposes, Maidabo stated, "That will be the exact opposite thing I will do. God disallows, indeed I can't clarify how the entire thing occurred."
The Police Advertising 0fficer, Wasiu Abiodun, on Friday affirmed the occurrence, saying the suspect admitted to the wrongdoing.
Abiodun said the suspect would be charged after examination.
