The continuous increase in the rate of criminal cases in Nigeria is at its peak.A lot of criminal activities such as kidnapping,stealing and fraud have been recorded so far in our mother land with a great number of reoccurrence of same cases.Citizens can no longer walk the streets of their locality freely as they wish because of the phobia of hoodlums and their cruel and evil operations.
The Anambra state police command have arrested 19 years old Stanley Okafor and 21 years old Benedict Sunday who were both caught with guns.They were both arrested for attacking and snatching a Tricycle from its owner.
DSP Haruna Mohammed disclosed on Tuesday,February 9,2021 that following a distress call,the police operatives attached to the Central Police Station (CPS) Awka in conjunction with local Vigilante group arrested the two suspects at Parker,Ziks avenue,Awka.
It was reported that the armed robbers attacked and snatched the Tricycle at gunpoint.Two locally made firearms and other dangerous items were recovered from the robbers.
The Police has begun proper and thorough investigations on the case and have assured the residents of Awka that more of this hoodlums will be apprehended and brought to justice.
The two armed robbers are currently in the custody of the Police awaiting judgment and proper prosecution.
