What Is The Difference Between Hushpuppi And Invictus Obi?

This issue of cybercrime has done incalculable damage to the image of Nigeria and many countries around the world. The impact of this crime goes beyond just losing money. Some victims have attempted suicide; many homes have been broken and a lot of businesses crashed.

In this article, we will look at the difference between convicted fraudster, Obinwanne Okeke, popularly known as Invictus Obi, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence in a United States prison for $11m fraud, and the self-professed fraudster, Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi.

According to Invictus, he was introduced to cybercrime by a friend that was selling crypto and bank logins. When he tried it on his own and got a successful result, it became hard for him to stop.

He was later introduced to other money-making schemes that got him where he is today.

He also claimed that he used his money to change lives, conquer the world business, and create jobs, stressing that he has done so much for his community.

Hushpuppi on the other hand became popular in the social media world due to how he constantly clouds his Instagram page with the meanest and hottest pictures of himself in his expensive apartment, plush hotels, private jet, luxurious cars, and expensive clothes stores.

Many took delight in viewing his photos as they picked inspiration from him.

But is there any difference between these two? Is Invictus right to say that it is insulting to compare him with Hushpuppi? What makes him feel he is different from Hushpuppi? A crime is a crime regardless of the purpose of the crime.

According to Invictus, he took to fraud to empower the less fortunate in Nigeria, while Hushpuppi defrauded people to show off on social media. But I think the rule of law sees both of them as criminals.

What are your takes on this? Do you think one is better than the other?
