Boko Haram Strikes Again:

 Haram insurgents on Tuesday attacked Damasak town in the Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State.

A military source that spoke with SaharaReporters disclosed that the terrorists, however, were repelled by the soldiers of the 145 Battalion.

The source further stated that the terrorists came into the community through the area of the town where civilians live, just like during Saturday’s attack.


APC to boycott Rivers LG poll:

Seventeen political parties are to battle for positions in the local government elections scheduled for Saturday in Rivers State.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission had initially listed 18 political parties, but the All Progressives Congress wrote to the commission that it would not be participating in the election.


Obasanjo in Covid handshake with ‘gods’:

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Tuesday attended the 2021 Owu Masquerade Festival opening.

The event was held at the palace of the Olowu of Owu, Oba Dosunmu, at Oke Ago Owu, Abeokuta.

The ex-Head of State was captured in a COVID handshake with a masquerade also known as ‘gods’.


Policeman shot as gunmen kidnap Abuja residents:

 policeman was reportedly shot on Tuesday morning, April 12 while trying to foil the abduction of some residents of Tungan-Maje community in Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.  

A resident of the community, Ibrahim Saidu told Daily Trust that the gunmen who first attacked residents of Anguwar Samu in Tungan-Maje, engaged both the police and some members of the vigilante in a shootout.
